I am the founder and CEO of Miss Group a fast growing hosting company, Miss Group has in only 6 years got over 600 000 customers, 50 million euro turnover a EBITDA of close to 50% and 300 staff we have offices in London , Sofia, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Vilnius, Åbo, Madrid, Almeria and Tulsa.
Miss Group, which offers services including web hosting, domain registration and VPS to SMEs, received an initial £6.4m from BGF in August 2018. This was followed by a further £13m investment to accelerate its international expansion strategy in 2019. Previously Miss Group also received funding from Harbert European Growth Capital.
Led by CEO Mattias Kaneteg, Miss Group has completed seven acquisitions across Scandinavia, Spain and the US since BGF invested as a minority equity partner. The business has also posted strong organic growth, outpacing competitors across all markets. Revenue has grown from £8m to £25m since BGF’s investment and EBITDA has increased from £2.5m to £11m.”
We have recently got an £19.4m investment from BGF.
BGF is the UK and Ireland’s most active investor in growing businesses.
Miss Group has also got an debt financing of HSBC of £20 million.
I founded my first company when I was 15 years old selling security for cars, then when I turned 20 I sold it and the company had then grown to around 50 people. After living in USA for a year I returned home to Sweden and started study for a year.
In 1998 I founded my first Internet Company that was an analytic gambling company and I sold it one year later. After working for channel 5 (Kanal 5), one of the biggest TV channels in Sweden, for a short while I then started Eastpoint. The business idea was simple, create cheap homepages for SMBs and then sell them webhosting at the same time.
In 2001 Eastpoint had around 5000 customers and we had grown to 12 people and i desided to focus more on the hosting part. So with cash generated from the company I started to buy web hosting companies and in 2005 Eastpoint had acquired 11 web hosting companies and Crystone was now founded in the group. It had become one of the biggest domain and shared hosting companies in Scandinavia.
In 2006 I listed Eastpoint and today the name of the group is the Binero Group (Online Group Publ) and they was market leaders in Scandinavia in Shared Webhosting.
Over the years i have started, invested in and acquired over 40 companies as example Igame Group that we sold to Unibet 2015 for 100 million dollar.
Miss Group founder Mattias Kaneteg said: "This is a very important strategic acquisition for us improving our market share in the US but also opening new Asian markets for us. This adds to our hugely successful marketing campaigns which have generated exceptional organic growth.
